On Saturday October 14th, we will camp together at scenic French Creek State Park (https://www.dcnr.pa.gov/
This is a great opportunity to explore nature and have some fun outdoors. Hike the great wooded trails, play cooperative games with your fellow scouts, and go fishing at the one of the lakes.
The scouts have a history of good luck fishing on this trip, so be sure to bring your fishing pole! Children do not require fishing licenses; adults without licenses may only assist with casting.

Equipment:
Camping challenges scouts to “Be Prepared”. Here’s a quick list of essentials:
- Tent
- Sleeping bags and pillows
- Flashlight
- Warm clothes and your mask (dress in layers!)
- Filled reusable water bottle
- Recommended:
- sleeping mat or air mattress
- small personal coolers for your tent are also nice if you need a drink in the middle of the night
- fishing pole, a ball, or a Frisbee are also good ideas
